About Steve
Steve Harper is a producer on the CBS show God Friended Me. He was co-producer on the TNT series Tell Me Your Secrets (to be seen on HBO Max) and wrote for the ABC drama American Crime (created by John Ridley) as well as the USA network’s spy drama Covert Affairs. His multiple award winning web series SEND ME – about time traveling black people – premiered on BET.com to 1.66 million views and garnered a 2016 Emmy nomination for series lead Tracie Thoms. Steve has written more than 20 plays, which have been workshopped and produced in New York, L.A. and in between. As an actor, he’s appeared at major regional theatres, on TV, film and in web series. As a coach, Steve has worked with writers and other artists for over 10 years through his company Your Creative Life. He’s also a certified Co-Leader for the ManKind Project, an international non-profit promoting personal growth for men. Steve is a graduate of Yale, The A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard, Juilliard’s playwriting program and the CBS Writers Mentoring Program.
